Poems
Together We’ve Begun
A poem about falling in love.Â
Â
How do we end our kisses,Â
How do we separate our lips?Â
How do we turn off our passion,Â
To end our amorous fits?Â
Â
How do we stop brushing faces,Â
Caressing our tingling skin?Â
It’s a feeling sweet and soft,Â
Like a sonnet from a violin.Â
Â
How do we end our gazing,Â
Into each other’s longing eyes?Â
How do we cease our tears of joy,Â
After trying so many tries?Â
Â
How do we unhold our hands,Â
When the warmth is double-fold?Â
How do we get to tomorrow,Â
Not having hands to hold?Â
Â
How do we part and walk away,Â
Saying goodbye too many times?Â
How do we sleep alone at night,Â
While together in our minds?Â
Â
There is no way for any of these,Â
They simply cannot be done.Â
Yet we suffer all of them,Â
Because Together We’ve Begun.
